Feeding the stressed out K-9

Diet Suggestions for Dogs with Anxiety

It is important to address the adrenals and the inflammation they contribute to producing when taxed.

Some of the most significant dietary contributors to inflammation and high cortisol levels include:
  • high-sugar, high-glycemic diet (in many packaged foods, refined grain products, sugary treats)
  • consuming high amounts of refined and trans fats
  • experiencing insufficient intake of micronutrients and antioxidants
  • not consuming enough fiber (which makes it hard to balance blood sugar)
  • not consuming enough healthy fats and protein
Instead, switch to a low-glycemic diet, include healthy fats (fish oils) and proteins with every meal, and make sure to get enough fiber and phytonutrients by including fresh fruits and veggies & chickpeas. Some of the most useful foods for lowering cortisol and stabilizing blood sugar include vegetables; fruits; coconut or hempseed oil; nuts; seeds; lean proteins like eggs, fish and grass-fed beef; and probiotic foods like yogurt, kefir or cultured veggies.
Add CBD oil twice daily
CBD has been extensively studied for its effect on stress and anxiety.
2 drops per every 10 pounds of body weight

Add Mushrooms
The shiitake mushroom contains plenty of vitamin B6. Because vitamin B6 impacts the production of serotonin and neurotransmitters, healthy B6 levels are associated with a positive mood and reducing stress naturally. It’s also been proven to effectively treat mood disorders like anxiety
Back Flower Remedy
Add 2-4 drops in your animal’s drinking water, add a drop to a treat, on food, or rub it on the paws or ears.
Fish oil primarily contains two types of omega-3 fatty acids — eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are well known for their heart health and skin benefits. However, fish oil also has an incredible impact on the brain, especially when it comes to depression and anxiety

Lastly, Check that there is no Glyphosate in your dog’s world
